The University of Miami is seeking a Professor of Clinical with demonstrated experience and interest in Orthopaedics. This role involves examining, diagnosing, and treating diseases and injuries. The successful candidate will prescribe courses of treatment for patients with injuries, disorders, or malformations and perform required surgery. Responsibilities include conducting and supervising direct patient care, including non-surgical treatment options, and planning and executing disease prevention and health promotion programs. The role also involves exercising command of medical units as provided by law and regulations, providing outpatient and hospital consultation services, and maintaining Continuing Medical Education (CME) units based on board requirements. Maintaining historical records by documenting symptoms, medications, and treatment events, and writing summaries is also a key part of the role. Enhancing department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments is expected.
