About The Position

The University of Pikeville (UPIKE) is seeking an Open Rank Professor of Business Administration for the Coleman College of Business. UPIKE is a student-centered institution in Central Appalachia, focused on academic excellence, professional preparation, and regional impact. Faculty at UPIKE collaborate closely with students in an environment that fosters mentorship, innovation, and meaningful engagement. The Coleman College of Business aims to prepare students for leadership in the evolving business landscape. The successful candidate will join a collegial academic community dedicated to student success and continuous program improvement.

Requirements

Doctoral degree in Business Administration, Finance, Operations Management, or a closely related discipline from a regionally accredited institution.
Minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in the primary teaching discipline preferred.
Significant professional experience in Finance, Operations Management, or related business fields may also be considered.
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Commitment to teaching excellence and student engagement.

Experience teaching in higher education.
Familiarity with canvas or similar learning management systems.
Experience using Open Educational Resources (OERs).

Responsibilities

Teaching assigned undergraduate and graduate business courses.
Developing engaging instructional materials and learning experiences.
Advising and mentoring students.
Participating in curriculum development and assessment activities.
Supporting accreditation and continuous improvement initiatives.
Contributing service to the college, university, profession, and community.
Engaging in ongoing professional development and scholarly or applied activities appropriate to rank.
