About The Position

Gardner-Webb University Godbold College of Business invites applications for a nine-month, non-tenure track faculty position at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor of Accounting. We value quality teaching, and we seek enthusiastic scholars who will also enjoy working closely with undergraduate and graduate students in a Christian environment. Faculty members may be required to teach on-campus, off-campus, and in an online environment. Other responsibilities may include supervising undergraduate/graduate/doctoral accounting students with internships, advising, scheduling, and research.

Requirements

Doctoral Degree in Accounting preferred (Ph.D. or DBA); ABD considered
Research and/or consulting in the accounting discipline
Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills
Record of successful collaboration and teamwork
Commitment to the University mission

Teaching experience in this discipline is preferred

Responsibilities

Teach in undergraduate, graduate, and/or doctoral accounting programs.
Demonstrate continuous professional and educational growth.
Provide accounting students with academic and professional advising.
Contribute to on-going accreditation processes.
Consistently demonstrate a strong work ethic and integrity by supporting University initiatives and performing other duties as assigned by the Dean.
Supervising undergraduate/graduate/doctoral accounting students with internships, advising, scheduling, and research.
