About The Position

The Telfer School of Management invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Information Systems at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor commencing on July 1st, 2027. The rank is commensurate with experience. Academic staff functions include, in varying proportions: teaching, research, and academic service activities.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in information systems, information technology, or in a related discipline.
  • Commensurate with experience, demonstrate a strong record of, or clear potential for, strong scholarly research as evidenced by publications, competitive funding, and a well-articulated research program.
  • Demonstrated, or strong potential for, teaching excellence.
  • Demonstrate commitment to, or strong potential for, service, including committee work, curriculum development, or student-centered activities, among others.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in French.
  • Passive knowledge of one’s second official language (English) is a requirement for tenure.

  • Candidates whose research is related to emerging concerns in the field of information systems.
  • Candidates from all areas of information systems, such as digital transformation, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, governance of information technology (IT), digital platforms, technological innovation, IT project management, emerging technologies, user experience, digital inclusion (accessibility and technological equity), digital health, or the organizational and societal impacts of digital technologies.
  • Candidates close to completion may also be considered.
  • English-French bilingualism is an asset.
  • The teaching load will include sections taught in French.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain an active research agenda in the field of information systems.
  • Teaching, as assigned, at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
  • Supervise in graduate programs, as required.
  • The candidate will be an active member of the Business Analytics & Information Systems section.
  • Administrative duties will be agreed upon with the section and the Dean.
