About The Position
The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) John Sealy School of Medicine in Galveston is seeking a full-time Pediatric Neonatology Hospitalist at the rank of Professor of Clinical Practice. This is a unique opportunity to join a nationally recognized academic health system and a collaborative team of clinicians dedicated to advancing care for children. This position offers the opportunity to work in a multidisciplinary environment, contribute to the education of pediatric residents and medical students, and engage in meaningful clinical care across UTMB’s Galveston Island and Clear Lake, and Angleton campuses.
Requirements
- Must have a MD or DO degree and a current and unrestricted license to practice in the State of Texas.
Nice To Haves
- Registration with Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA)
- Basic Cardiac Support (BCLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification with continuous renewal every two years.
Responsibilities
- Active practitioner with eligibility or certification by a board recognized by the American Board of Specialties.
- Pediatrician with exceptional skills in the care and treatment of Level I, and II babies in the UTMB Health Galveston Newborn Nursery providing inpatient coverage.
