About The Position

The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) John Sealy School of Medicine in Galveston is seeking a full-time Pediatric Developmental Behavioral Pediatrician for the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. This is a unique opportunity to join a nationally recognized academic health system and a collaborative team of clinicians and researchers. This position offers the opportunity to engage in clinical care, contribute to the education of pediatric residents and medical students, and develop a productive funded research program. This full-time academic role combines clinical care, teaching and research within a collaborative health system. The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary team to support the institutional clinical, educational and research missions and provide comprehensive pediatric outpatient psychological assessment and intervention services to children and families. They will also teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows.

Requirements

  • M.D. or D.O. degree from an LCME or COCA accredited medical school.
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited Pediatric Residency.
  • Board Certification in American Board of Professional Psychology.
  • Ability to obtain an unrestricted State of Texas Physician License.
  • Current U.S. DEA Practitioner registration.
  • U.S. Citizenship or Employment Authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Demonstrated commitment to patient care and medical education.
  • Demonstrated clinical and/or basic science research productivity.

Responsibilities
