The Windsor, Quebec, Canada facility is seeking skilled individuals for the position of Environmental Professional. This is a permanent, full-time role.

Requirements

  • Engineer or holder of a bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific field.
  • Specialization in environment.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Very good knowledge of English.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the pulp and paper industry (an asset).

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the environmental compliance of the plant's operations and, as needed, obtain or modify authorizations.
  • Ensure daily monitoring of operational and environmental parameters and statistics, and participate in problem-solving.
  • Participate in the maintenance and effectiveness of the environmental management system.
  • Support wastewater treatment.
  • Participate in the industrial waste valorization program.
  • Prepare various monthly and annual legal reports (water sampling, annual fees, INRP, GHG, etc.).
  • Carry out specific projects and sustainable development trials, particularly in circular economy, GHG reduction, and water consumption reduction.
  • Respond to daily requests and provide technical environmental support.
  • Establish collaboration and communication with other teams in the department and various internal clients.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities related to the environment.
