Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree
• Experience tutoring and/or teaching the college level
• Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Demonstrate qualities of patience and empathy
• respect for students of all genders, gender identities, cultural/ethnic backgrounds, ages, and abilities.
• Successful experience interacting with culturally diverse populations
• Candidates will be required to pass a CORI/SORI and/or a National background check as a condition of employment.

Nice To Haves

• Community College tutoring or teaching experience.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) tutoring ability.

Responsibilities

• Conduct individual and, on occasion, small-group tutoring sessions.
• Tutor students in area(s) of expertise and other subjects as assigned.
• Encourage students to develop a systematic approach to studying that will serve them throughout their college career.
• Help maintain EAB Navigate records of student attendance and learning progress.
• Attend required tutor meetings throughout the semester.
• Assist students in making appointments and logging in/out of center.
• Assist the Tutor Coordinator in recruiting, hiring, and training peer tutors.
• Perform other duties consistent with the position of Professional Tutor.
