Professional Tutor, TLCC (Winter Haven)
About The Position
A Professional Tutor possesses special skills or training in a specific subject area or field, who is employed to provide individual or small group instructional reinforcement. A professional tutor must have a bachelor's degree or higher from a regionally accredited college or university. Professional tutors must demonstrate proficiency in the subjects in which they tutor and have taken and passed with a grade of "B" or better in the course(s) in which they will tutor. The TLCC (Winter Haven) is looking for professional tutors for the Fall Semester in the following areas: Writing, Math, Science (Biology, Chemistry, Anatomy & Physiology).
Requirements
- Good reading and writing skills
- Ability to write legibly
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks with patience
- Ability to work well with a diverse student population
- Ability to work independently as well as with others and be self-motivated
- Well-developed interpersonal skills
- Good judgment
- Bachelor's degree or higher from a regionally accredited college or university.
- Demonstrate proficiency in the subjects in which they tutor
- Taken and passed with a grade of "B" or better in the course(s) in which they will tutor.
Nice To Haves
- Master's degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual or small group instructional reinforcement for disabled students.
- Maintains confidentiality at all times regarding student, office records, and information.
- Performs all tasks with a friendly, professional work attitude at all times.
