About The Position

A long-standing surveying and engineering company is seeking to hire a Professional Surveyor to perform field and office duties to complete surveying and mapping projects throughout Ohio.

Requirements

Registration as an Ohio Professional Surveyor.
Must be able to work independently or as part of a team/crew.
Experience with ODOT Surveying and Mapping Specifications.
Prequalification as an ODOT Right of Way Designer and/or Reviewer.
Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
Experience with one or all: GNSS, Robotic Total Stations, Terrestrial Scanners, data collectors, automatic levels, drones.
Use of computer systems and software including: MS Office, Word, Excel, Trimble Business Center, Open Roads Designer. (Civil 3D optional).
Experience researching property, road records, chain of title, easements.
Must have a valid driver's license with clean driving history.
Candidates are required to pass a Criminal Background Check and a 10 Panel Drug Screen.

Responsibilities

Perform field and office duties to complete surveying and mapping projects.
Prepare, review, and adhere to project budgets and schedules.
Determine alignments and property boundaries by resolving field evidence and record documents.
Preparation of legal descriptions and closure reports.
Proper care, maintenance, and calibration of field equipment.
