About The Position

A civil engineering firm in Strongsville, Ohio is recruiting a skilled Professional Surveyor (PS). In this role, you will lead field surveying operations, boundary determinations, and engineering base mapping. The ideal candidate brings extensive boundary survey experience and a strong background with Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) qualifications to drive high-profile infrastructure projects forward.

Requirements

Active Professional Surveyor (PS) registration in the State of Ohio (Required).
Demonstrated hands-on experience conducting boundary, topographic, and utility field surveys.
Proven track record in developing comprehensive engineering base maps from field survey data.
Deep understanding of boundary determination methods, land records, and legal property descriptions.
Active prequalification in ODOT Right-of-Way (ROW) Plan Development.
Direct experience successfully leading and completing ODOT survey projects.
Only U.S. Citizens or persons with a Green Card work permit may apply.
Candidates are required to pass a Criminal Background Check and a 10 Panel Drug Screen.

Responsibilities

Perform high-precision boundary, utility, and topographic field surveys using modern surveying equipment and technology.
Process raw field data into accurate, detailed base maps for engineering design teams.
Direct boundary analysis, resolution, legal descriptions, and boundary map preparation.
Oversee and manage ODOT Right-of-Way (ROW) plan development workflows and deliverables.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure project timelines, quality standards, and client specs are met.
