About The Position

The Professional Staff Recruiter is responsible for managing the recruitment of all professional staff. This role involves serving as a primary contact for applicants, monitoring recruitment goals, developing workflow recommendations, managing interview logistics, searching for qualified candidates, conducting community tours, staying informed about local employment and school district opportunities, posting and updating job positions on various platforms, and recommending advertising and outreach strategies. Additionally, the recruiter manages the New Provider Orientation Program, assists staff with federal and state loan repayment options, handles all duties related to employment visas (including J1 Waivers, H1-B, Perm Processing, Department of Labor Requirements, and USCIS rules), manages locum tenens coverage by negotiating contracts, develops relationships with external pipeline programs, manages the student rotation process, and collaborates with the marketing department on campaigns and materials. The role also requires adherence to the Attendance and Absenteeism Policy and the ability to work at any FHCN location as needed. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in written and verbal communication, basic mathematics, computer applications, and technical systems.
  • Completion of a Bachelor’s Degree program with a recognized major and a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5; OR a combination of relevant experience and completion of a high school diploma with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5, or General Educational Development (GED) with a minimum overall score of 162.5, and healthcare-related knowledge frequently acquired through completion of a trade school, para-professional, or certificate-type program.
  • If an individual has completed a degree at a higher level than required by the role and had a stronger GPA in that program, they may provide proof of GPA from that degree in lieu of the high school diploma or bachelor’s degree.
  • Polished general or technical skills, typically acquired with or without a specific major or trade.
  • Minimum of two years of experience with a deep understanding of the trade/profession.
  • Ability to prepare more complex documents in Microsoft Word, including creating tables, charts, graphs and other elements.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Excel to analyze data, including the use of formulas and other standard spreadsheet elements.
  • Ability to develop sophisticated presentation in Microsoft PowerPoint, including the use of embedded objects, transitions and other elements.
  • Valid CA driver’s license.
  • Ability to effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, opinions and extrapolations of information collected and synthesized/analyzed.
  • Responsibility for the resolution of conflicts that may arise between employees, between employees and customers/clients, or with the public, other legal entities or governmental authorities.
  • Ability to compile, analyze and prepare information in an effective written form, including correspondence, reports, articles or other documentation.
  • Ability to effectively convey technical information to non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Managing professional staff recruitment activities.
  • Serving as a primary contact for applicants seeking employment for specialized positions.
  • Monitoring and achieving department goals and metrics for functional areas as assigned.
  • Developing recommendations for updating workflows and policies.
  • Managing the logistics of the interview of prospective candidates, including itineraries, travel, lodging, etc.
  • Performing searches for qualified candidates according to relevant job criteria, using computer databases, networking, internet recruiting resources, recruiting firms, and employee referrals.
  • Conducting community tours with prospective candidates.
  • Keeping abreast of community employment opportunities and the local school districts for prospective candidate families seeking additional information.
  • Managing and ensuring all staff positions are posted and updated on various sources as applicable (FHCN website, National Health Service Corps, California Department of Health Services, Indeed, LinkedIn etc.).
  • Recommending advertising and outreach strategies for Recruitment.
  • Managing the New Provider Orientation Program.
  • Keeping abreast of Federal and State loan repayment options for the organization and actively assisting staff in applying for the programs.
  • Researching new loan options.
  • Conducting verifications and on-site reviews.
  • Managing all duties related to employment visas.
  • Ensuring J1 Waivers, H1-B, Perm Processing, Department of Labor Requirements (Prevailing wages) and USCIS rules, and regulations are met.
  • Managing locum tenens coverage.
  • Negotiating contracts for final approval.
  • Developing and maintaining working relationships with residency programs, medical/dental schools, FNP/PA training programs, recruiting firms, and other external pipeline programs.
  • Attending job fairs and training program visits.
  • Managing the student rotation process.
  • Facilitating contracts with residency, training programs and schools.
  • Ensuring preceptors are assigned.
  • Serving as liaison with residency programs and schools.
  • Working with the marketing department to help develop marketing campaigns, outreach strategies, and marketing materials.
  • Adhering to the Attendance and Absenteeism Policy.
  • Ability to present to and work at any FHCN location, both at the beginning of a shift or during a shift, based on business need.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
