Your role will reflect our shared goal of enhancing health care delivery and building healthier, more vibrant communities. This role will maintain and grow small business through MVP’s broker distribution channel and individual market. Must meet or exceed membership and retention goals for the following market segments: Small Group 1-100 eligibles, both on and off exchange to ensure all service protocols, productivity, sales and quality standards are being met. This individual will develop new distribution channels to support commercial growth in target markets and products. They will manage and enhance existing broker relationships to support growth opportunities for MVP Health Care. They will have responsibility for applied sales and service guidelines, product placement, renewal and adherence to underwriting guidelines.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years in recent business to business sales or account management.
  • Insurance setting preferred.
  • Must possess, or obtain within 60 days from date of hire all required licensure and certification (Vermont LAH).
  • Must obtain the MVP Medicare Certification Training within 60 days from date of hire, or prior to first sale, whichever comes first.
  • Adaptability to changing work priorities and fast paced environment.
  • Ability to translate features and benefits into customer focused solutions.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills required.
  • Demonstrated sales and service skills.
  • Ability to always maintain ethical and professional behavior and appearance.
  • Computer skills including strong working knowledge of CRMs, and Microsoft Office application - Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently with excellent organizational skills.
  • Must have a desire to offer focused solutions, resolve conflict and work collaboratively.
  • Personal drive to exceed customer expectations.
  • Ability to self-educate and support a desire to gain knowledge related to the healthcare industry.
  • Valid drivers’ license and access to vehicle.
  • Must be willing to do any required travel.
  • Account specific problem solving.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and grow small business through MVP’s broker distribution channel and individual market.
  • Meet or exceed membership and retention goals for Small Group 1-100 eligibles, both on and off exchange.
  • Ensure all service protocols, productivity, sales and quality standards are being met.
  • Develop new distribution channels to support commercial growth in target markets and products.
  • Manage and enhance existing broker relationships to support growth opportunities for MVP Health Care.
  • Have responsibility for applied sales and service guidelines, product placement, renewal and adherence to underwriting guidelines.
  • Have the ability to work independently on a daily basis and effectively manage time and work volume to ensure all deadlines, production and service standards are achieved.
  • Provide information regarding MVP small group and individual products.
  • Be part of a phone queue call center and will be required to answer incoming calls from our brokers, small groups and individuals.
  • Responsible for achieving assigned new business sales goals and renewal retention goals for the Small Business & Individual Service Unit across the MVP service area.
  • Complete all required pre and post sales activities timely and accurately.
  • Works collaboratively across the enterprise to achieve corporate and departmental goals to support service excellence and issue resolution.
  • Maintain PHI according to MVP’s privacy and security standards.
  • Develops and maintains a working knowledge of MVP operations, contract benefits and enrollment requirement to ensure new sales opportunities and renewal changes are installed with minimal disruption to employer groups and members.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Ensure the capture and appropriate storage of complete and accurate renewal account management records.
  • Collect, analyze, and report on sales plan and account service process activity and results as scheduled and required.
  • Other projects or duties as assigned.
