About The Position

The Professional Services Project Manager is a senior role within IGEL’s Global Professional Services organization, responsible for orchestrating complex, large-scale enterprise deployments of the IGEL OS ecosystem. The role manages end-to-end enterprise implementation, OS migration, and endpoint security deployment projects, balancing customer stakeholder management with internal coordination across engineering, support, sales, product management, and development teams. The Project Manager works with Technical Relationship Managers where assigned, as well as Customer Experience, Solutions Architects, and Sales Account teams, to ensure business and technical commitments are met. The role manages agreed scope, coordinates with customer technical teams and stakeholders, and monitors project parameters and scope-creep risks. It also governs timelines, resources, risks, reporting, customer change management, post-deployment handover, and the documentation of reusable deployment knowledge.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of software project management or technical consulting experience managing enterprise-grade infrastructure or desktop virtualization (VDI/DaaS) deployments.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multi-phase, high-visibility software rollouts, including scope control, resource forecasting, and risk mitigation.
  • Foundational familiarity with secure Edge OS environments, thin clients, or virtualization technologies such as Citrix, VMware/Omnissa, Microsoft AVD, or Amazon WorkSpaces.
  • An active PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile/Scrum certification, such as CSM or PMI-ACP.
  • Strong negotiation skills, internal navigation skills, and the ability to connect customer needs with software product engineers while maintaining structured rollout timelines.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Business Administration, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-on experience with the IGEL stack, including IGEL OS (including OS 12), IGEL Universal Management Suite (UMS), IGEL Cloud Gateway, and the IGEL Management Interface API.
  • Specialized experience managing deployments in VDI and DaaS ecosystems, such as Microsoft AVD, Citrix, Omnissa/VMware, Amazon WorkSpaces, or Nutanix Frame.
  • Familiarity with Linux-based enterprise operating systems, secure endpoint management, thin-client hardware, and cloud-delivered management concepts.
  • Experience working directly for a global enterprise software vendor or a tier-1 IT systems integrator.
  • Experience delivering consulting services or software implementations in regulated enterprise sectors, particularly Healthcare, Financial Services, or IT/OT environments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead enterprise customers through structured Professional Services offerings and maintain control of timelines, scopes, and Statement of Work compliance.
  • Represent customer deployment needs internally and coordinate with Product Management, Engineering, and Technical Relationship Managers to resolve technical blockers, prioritize scoped feature requests, and manage escalations.
  • Establish project timelines, resource schedules, and risk mitigation strategies, and provide executive-level delivery reporting to client stakeholders and IGEL Customer Experience leadership.
  • Coordinate with Sales and Presales Architecture teams during handoffs so the scoped technical vision is carried through to deployment.
  • Ensure deployment architecture aligns with customer security and budget targets, including endpoint reduction or security compliance metrics where relevant.
  • Advise customer IT leadership on user adoption strategies and change management practices for transitions to the IGEL OS platform.
  • Manage formal handover from Global Consulting to Customer Success and operational support after deployment milestones are approved.
  • Document deployment architectures, lessons learned, and reusable assets to improve Global Consulting Services methodologies and playbooks.
