About The Position

SmartSuite is seeking a Professional Services Consultant to join our growing Professional Services team. In this role, you will serve as a trusted advisor and platform expert for SmartSuite customers, guiding them through the full lifecycle of solution delivery, from requirements discovery through implementation and adoption.
You’ll bring deep functional knowledge of the SmartSuite platform to help clients address complex Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) challenges, applying technical and process best practices to design solutions that are both scalable and sustainable. This is a highly collaborative role in which you’ll partner closely with our Product, Sales Engineering, Customer Success, and Go-To-Market teams to ensure clients realize measurable value from their SmartSuite investment.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of technology and client engagement, a problem-solver who takes pride in translating real business needs into elegant, no-code solutions and who is comfortable owning client relationships and engagements with increasing independence over time.

Requirements

• Strong interest and aptitude in no-code platforms, SaaS, workflow automation, and business process design
• A client-first mindset, with genuine excellence in client-facing environments and ownership of the client experience from kickoff through delivery
• Demonstrated ability to understand complex business requirements and translate them into practical, well-structured platform configurations
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage confidently at multiple levels of an organization
• Detail-oriented and analytical, with comfort configuring systems across fields, views, dashboards, automations, and integrations
• Strong project management instincts, organized, proactive, and able to manage competing priorities across multiple engagements
• The ability to work independently and manage client engagements with minimal oversight; while onboarding will include structured support, the expectation is that consultants will grow into fully independent ownership of their engagements
• Collaborative by nature, with experience working cross-functionally with Product, Sales, and Customer-facing teams
• Curiosity, adaptability, and a continuous learning mindset

Nice To Haves

• 2–3 years of experience in GRC or a related discipline, including Risk Management, Compliance, Third-Party Risk, or Business Continuity, ideally gained within a Big 4 firm or comparable professional services environment
• Demonstrated experience managing or contributing independently to client engagements, with a track record of delivering quality outcomes with limited supervision
• Experience with SmartSuite or another GRC platform or solution
• Background in implementation, consulting, customer success, or solutions engineering
• Experience developing client-facing deliverables such as process documentation, solution design documents, or user training materials
• Comfort working with structured data, reporting, and dashboards in a client delivery context

Responsibilities

• Partner directly with clients to identify, define, and document key business and functional requirements across GRC workflows and processes
• Design and configure SmartSuite solutions using our no-code platform that meet validated client requirements
• Build, test, and iterate on configured solutions in close collaboration with client stakeholders to ensure quality and alignment
• Develop and deliver critical process documentation and implementation artifacts, including solution design documents, workflow maps, and configuration guides
• Support user acceptance testing and drive end-user adoption of configured solutions through enablement sessions and training materials
• Provide project management support throughout the engagement lifecycle, including milestone tracking, risk identification, and stakeholder communication
• Serve as a subject matter expert on GRC best practices, helping clients understand how SmartSuite can be leveraged to modernize and strengthen their compliance and risk programs
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Sales Engineering, and Customer Success teams to surface client feedback, inform platform improvements, and contribute to repeatable delivery frameworks
