About The Position

Help Shape the Assessments Behind Professional Marketing Qualifications. We're looking for talented and detail-oriented Assessment Writers to support the development of high-quality assessment materials for our marketing qualifications. This role is ideal for someone with experience in marketing, digital marketing, education, assessment or qualifications who enjoys translating professional knowledge into engaging, fair and effective assessments. Working as part of our Awarding Body network, you'll help create assessments that accurately measure learner achievement, reflect current marketing practice and support professional development across the marketing industry.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Professional experience within marketing, digital marketing or a related discipline.
  • Experience of assessment writing, examining, teaching or quality assurance within Further Education, Higher Education or professional qualifications.
  • Excellent written English and strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to write clear, concise and technically accurate content.
  • Understanding of assessment principles and how assessments measure learning outcomes.
  • Ability to work independently and deliver work to agreed deadlines.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree or equivalent.
  • Professional marketing qualification.
  • Experience of writing or reviewing assessment materials for awarding organisations or professional bodies.
  • Understanding of cognitive demand and assessment design principles.
  • Experience of working across different assessment methodologies.
  • Familiarity with professional marketing qualifications and standards.

Responsibilities

  • Writing assessment questions and materials in line with module specifications, learning outcomes and assessment criteria.
  • Developing a range of assessment item types, including multiple-choice questions, scenario-based questions and Progressive Case Study content where required.
  • Ensuring assessment materials reflect the appropriate qualification level and cognitive demand.
  • Creating clear answer rationales and supporting documentation.
  • Reviewing assessment content for accuracy, consistency and accessibility.
  • Developing realistic marketing and business scenarios that support application, analysis and decision-making.
  • Responding to quality assurance feedback and making revisions within agreed timescales.
  • Contributing to the maintenance and development of assessment banks and assessment materials.
  • Supporting continuous improvement of assessment methodologies and approaches.
  • Keeping up to date with developments in marketing, digital marketing and related professional practice.
