About The Position
The Hackensack, New Jersey office of Kaufman Dolowich is seeking a Professional Liability Employment Associate to join our Professional Liability practice. Our Professional Liability team represents a broad range of individual professionals, firms and other entities in defending claims arising from the performance of their duties in both state and federal court through trial and appeal. We also represent professionals in disciplinary matters and regulatory hearings before state agencies and professional boards. Requirements
- JD degree
- A minimum of 3+ years experience
- Admission to the New Jersey Bar
- Superior legal research, writing, and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Strong organizational and time management skills
Nice To Haves
- At least one year of relevant experience is preferred, but not required
Responsibilities
- Manage a full litigation caseload from inception through resolution
- Take and defend depositions
- Oversee and participate in all aspects of written discovery
- Prepare discovery and substantive motions and present oral arguments
- Maintain strong, professional relationships with clients through regular reporting and case updates
