About The Position

Lewis Brisbois is seeking an attorney to join its Professional Liability Practice in the Newark, New Jersey office. The practice includes attorneys across the firm’s nationwide offices and represents professionals and organizations in claims involving professional liability, whether engaged directly or retained through an insurance carrier. Clients include accountants, architects and engineers, attorneys, bankers, computer and media professionals, financial planners, healthcare providers, insurance brokers and agents, school districts and municipalities, property appraisers and inspectors, real estate professionals, and securities brokers. The ideal candidate has strong research and writing skills and experience defending professional liability claims, including Directors & Officers, legal malpractice, Errors & Omissions, and architects and engineers matters. The firm is also interested in talented attorneys with substantive litigation experience, an interest in professional liability law, and excellent skills developed in another litigation practice. The role offers the opportunity to join a growing, collaborative firm.

Requirements

Admission to the New Jersey Bar.
Strong research and writing skills.
Substantive litigation experience and a demonstrated interest in professional liability law.

Nice To Haves

Two to seven years of experience defending professional liability claims.
Experience in professional liability law, including Directors & Officers, legal malpractice, Errors & Omissions, and architects and engineers matters.

Responsibilities
