About The Position

We are seeking a 3–5-year Associate Attorney to join our Professional Liability Defense Practice Group. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background, excellent research and writing skills, and an ability to handle a diverse caseload. The Associate Attorney will work closely with a Shareholder to represent clients in various legal matters, including securities litigation, regulatory issues as well as professional liability matters.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and admission to the Alabama state bar association.
• 1-3 years of experience in a litigation practice.
• Strong academic record (Top 25% of your graduating class) with excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Demonstrated commitment to professionalism, ethics, and client service.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges and areas of law.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Construction Defect, A&E, and Environmental Law.
• Other state admissions a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct legal research on various issues and provide analysis and interpretation of statutes, regulations, and case law.
• Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs as well as detailed client reports.
• Represent clients in court proceedings, depositions, and mediations.
• Interview clients, witnesses, and other relevant parties to gather information and evidence for cases.
• Collaborate with Shareholders and legal staff to develop case strategies and trial preparation.
