About The Position

World Savvy is seeking a global education-minded professional for a full-time, temporary role, expected to conclude around the end of May 2027. The Professional Learning Facilitator is a key member of the Program Team, responsible for executing and refining program materials, tools, and resources. This role involves implementing World Savvy's work with students, teachers, administrators, and community members, including facilitating professional learning and consulting on integrating global competence into teaching, learning, and school culture. The ideal candidate possesses at least seven years of PK-12 classroom experience, prior experience coaching and providing professional development to PK-12 educators, and is creative, adaptable to ambiguity and change, and has an entrepreneurial mindset. Strong public speaking, presentation, networking, and engagement skills with diverse audiences are essential. These temporary positions offer a chance to contribute to significant educational impact within a collaborative, mission-driven team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education
  • Minimum of 7 years of PK-12 classroom experience.
  • Experience leading professional development for educators and school leaders to engage and support ethnically, culturally, and socio-economically diverse youth.
  • Significant experience public speaking/presenting in front of large groups (50+ people).
  • Strong presentation, interpersonal, intercultural, and written communication skills.
  • Experience developing and implementing project-based learning experiences.
  • Global education experience and proven success in the field.
  • Knowledge of the local and national education landscape.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and change
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and energy for innovation and iteration.
  • Ability to navigate varied and complex school environments as an outside consultant.
  • Ability to guide the ongoing improvement of core World Savvy program elements.
  • Proven ability to use instructional technology and virtual tools to solve problems and work with others.
  • Ability to work effectively in a small and collaborative team environment.
  • Proficiency and willingness to use current workplace technologies, including Zoom, Slack, Salesforce, and all Google applications.
  • Solution-oriented approach, with excellent project management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, mission-driven, and goals oriented environment.

  • Experience with PK-12 school administration or instructional leadership preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute all aspects of professional learning and coaching for school, district, and strategic partners.
  • Dynamically lead high-quality professional learning sessions (on-site and online) for educators, school leaders, and strategic partners.
  • Empathetically provide coaching support for educators and school leaders to develop instructional practices, classroom cultures, and leadership capacity for global competence.
  • Develop systems-level conditions that sustain global competence and durable skills development over time.
  • Develop project-based curriculum and assessment that embeds global competence and durable skills into practice and advances equity.
  • Support the development of high-quality student projects that model the evolution of Knowledge to Action.
  • Creatively and effectively use electronic and online technology and teaching practices to engage learners in-person and/or remotely.
  • Actively support the recruitment and retention of new and existing program sites and partnerships.
  • Translate educator, school, and district needs into tailored global competence activities, materials, tools, and resources.
  • Effectively implement all programming, ensuring high-quality, collaborative, and powerful experiences.
  • Acquire and apply knowledge of global competence education and the global education field to support continuous program improvement.
  • Coordinate with World Savvy staff to plan logistics around program needs and group gatherings.
  • Participate in Program Team and other World Savvy team meetings, contributing ideas and feedback.
  • Provide support to school leaders to embed global competence into teaching, learning, and school culture.
  • Build and maintain relationships with participating educators and students.
  • Research and develop aligned programmatic materials in various formats.
  • Represent World Savvy at regional and national conferences and present the organization's work.
  • Facilitate small and large groups and provide 1:1 coaching.

Benefits

  • This position is classified as exempt and is not eligible for overtime pay.
