Professional-in-Residence, Marie Bickham Endowed Chair
About The Position
The Robert Reich School of Landscape Architecture at Louisiana State University is seeking a prominent and dynamic individual to fill the Professional in Residence, Marie M. Bickham Endowed Chair for the academic year 2026-2027. This role involves participating in the life of the School through teaching, lectures, demonstrations, and/or studio critiques, engaging with both students and faculty. The Chair will participate in a studio, conduct a workshop or seminar, and present a public lecture. The final assignments and terms of residency will be developed in collaboration with the Director of the School of Landscape Architecture and the Dean of the College of Art + Design. The position promotes excellence in teaching, scholarship, service, and engagement.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in landscape architecture or a related field.
- 8 - 10 years experience.
- Significant national or international reputation.
- Significant record of creative activity through exhibitions, publications, awards, and/or professional achievement.
- Valid U.S. work authorization at the time of hire and maintain that valid work authorization throughout employment.
Responsibilities
- Participate in a studio.
- Conduct a workshop or seminar.
- Present a public lecture.
- Participate fully in the daily life of the School of Landscape Architecture and the College of Art + Design.
