About The Position

Regent University's School of Communication and the Arts seeks full-time, professional-track Artists in Residence focusing in live and recorded music and worship event production. Artists in Residence will serve in the Department of Music and Worship Arts to teach undergraduate and graduate courses across several degree programs, and in the Regent Center for Performing Arts to provide services in audio, video and lighting for concerts, events, professional music recordings, and other world-class offerings from the university. These positions will be located at Regent University's Virginia Beach, VA campus. Requirements

  • Full-time, professional-track Artist in Residence.
  • Focus on live and recorded music and worship event production.
  • Appropriate degree.
  • Ability to teach and support students pursuing careers in music and worship arts.
  • Demonstrated expertise in at least one of the needed fields (audio production/post-production, video production/post-production for live events, lighting and live event technologies).
  • Potential to teach and serve across the curriculum.
  • Dedication to Christ-centered teaching and learning.
  • Record of or potential for academic scholarship.
  • Ability to teach undergraduate-level courses.
  • Facility with online instructional technology.
  • Willingness to embrace the College and University Identity and Mission statements.
  • Willingness to subscribe to a statement of Christian faith.

Responsibilities

  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses across several degree programs in the Department of Music and Worship Arts.
  • Provide services in audio, video, and lighting for concerts, events, professional music recordings, and other offerings from the Regent Center for Performing Arts.
  • Teach music production courses at the undergraduate levels.
  • Engage in the production of music events and recordings for the Regent Center for Performing Arts.
  • Perform audio production and post-production.
  • Perform video production and post-production for live events.
  • Manage lighting and live event technologies for music and worship arts production.
