About The Position

Consor is seeking a Professional Engineer to join their Draper team. This role will focus on designing local and UDOT roadway improvements, including safety upgrades, urban corridors, interchange, and widening projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical foundation, a desire for growth into task and project leadership, and the ability to mentor junior staff while delivering high-quality plans.

Requirements

  • 4+ years in roadway/transportation design with construction plan set experience.
  • Proficiency in Bentley MicroStation/OpenRoads Designer and/or Autodesk Civil 3D.
  • BS in Civil Engineering.
  • PE (Utah) or ability to obtain within 6–12 months.
  • Clear communicator who is open to mentoring junior staff and collaborating in multi-disciplinary teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with InRoads/GEOPAK.
  • UDOT project experience and knowledge of UDOT CADD standards.
  • Municipal coordination experience.
  • Experience preparing PSE/estimate and performing QC reviews.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and perform roadway design and prepare full PS&E packages (plans, specifications, and engineer’s estimates) for bid.
  • Develop typical sections, horizontal/vertical alignments, profiles, cross-sections, and traffic control/phasing details.
  • Apply AASHTO/UDOT standards and ensure compliance with local/state/federal requirements.
  • Conduct and oversee drainage and stormwater design components within roadway projects, coordinating with H&H as needed.
  • Own scope, schedule, and budget, and perform QA/QC reviews of design calculations and plan sheets.
  • Mentor junior engineers through task assignment, checks, and coaching.
  • Collaborate across disciplines, including structures, traffic, and environmental.
