About The Position

The St. Louis, MO office of Modjeski and Masters is seeking a Professional Engineer (PE) with at least 5 years of Bridge Design Experience and experience with IDOT or MoDOT projects. As a Structural Bridge Design Engineer with Modjeski and Masters, you will work on a variety of challenging and rewarding bridge engineering projects for a myriad of transportation clients. As a member of our team, you'll be immediately responsible for performing engineering tasks under the careful supervision of established and respected professionals. You'll have opportunities to interact directly with clients, become a valued partner on a variety of high-impact projects, and apply fresh insights at every stage of a bridge's life cycle. Requirements

At least 5 years of related bridge design experience
Valid Professional Engineer License (PE)
Experience with IDOT or MoDOT Projects required
Use engineering analysis software such as LUSAS, RISA-3D, LEAP Bridge, AutoCAD, MicroStation etc.
Correctly apply relevant design specifications, including: AASHTO, AREMA, AISC, ACI, etc.
Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States

Responsibilities

Review and check structural design calculations.
Perform structural analysis and design of bridge components using analysis software.
Provide information for design reports.
Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned, including field inspections and construction service assignments.
Communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing.
Prepare project-related documents and internal correspondence.
Perform and check quantity take-offs from contract plans.
Review and check drawings.
