As a Professional Development Program Associate (Airport Engineering) for the Airports Authority, you will gain hands-on experience and industry knowledge while developing the skills and expertise needed as you work toward achieving your career goals. This is a three-year developmental program designed to lead to placement in a career full-performance Project Manager Engineering position. The Associate (Year 1) phase involves experiential training and assignments to strengthen professional skills and build foundational knowledge in the discipline. Upon successful completion of Year 1, a 5% pay increase is awarded. Year 2 involves further training and project work, leading to a grade increase and promotion to Professional Development Program Analyst (Airport Engineering) for Year 3. In Year 3, the Analyst works more independently, continues training and certifications, and upon successful completion, will be promoted to Project Manager Engineering. The role involves performing basic professional airport financial management duties, acquiring and improving professional skills, and gaining real-world experience. Responsibilities increase with knowledge and experience. The program extends for three years and includes building relationships, generating written material, collecting and analyzing data, developing recommendations, assisting in airport facility design, construction, and maintenance, performing site inspections, supporting project management activities, collaborating with teams, developing presentations, creating individual development plans, identifying strengths and weaknesses, attending training, working on special assignments, and enforcing building codes.
