About The Position

This internship provides an opportunity to offer quality technical and administrative support to the professional development portfolio within the College of Graduate & Postdoctoral Studies (CGPS). The role contributes to an efficient and collaborative work environment during the internship period. The intern will report to the Professional Development Specialist and will support various professional development projects, including graduate mentorship and internship programs for graduate students. Guidance, coaching, training, and mentoring will be provided throughout the internship.

• Proficient in the use of various computer applications
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
• Ability to prioritize and support multiple PD projects simultaneously

Responsibilities

• Support the PD Specialist in conducting needs assessments, environmental scans, and program designs for graduate students and postdocs.
• Participate in the planning and implementation of PD programs.
• Assist in the preparation and follow-up of training and development initiatives and programs for graduate students and postdocs.
• Provide administrative support to the professional development function for graduate students & postdoctoral scholars.
• Assist with organizing stakeholder collaborations with internal and external partners.
