About The Position

This posting is for a Regular Part-Time Professor to teach the course 'Psychologie communautaire' (PSY4534, Section A00) during the 2026 Fall Semester. The course covers the history and definition of community psychology, with a focus on mental health, social intervention, prevention, health promotion, research methods, the role of community psychologists, and current research. The course is offered in French and is a face-to-face (présentiel) offering. The expected enrollment is 60 students, and the course is worth 3 credits. The academic year runs from September 1 to August 31. The hourly rate for teaching is $239.47 (2024-2025), not including vacation or statutory pay. These rates are subject to change upon ratification of a new collective agreement, with retroactivity applied after ratification. The hiring process will be governed by the current APTPUO collective agreements.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Psychology
  • Advanced knowledge of the course content area (Community Psychology)
  • Competence in a second language (Passive)

Responsibilities

  • Teach the course 'Psychologie communautaire' (PSY4534, Section A00).
  • Maintain the assigned mode of course delivery (in-person).
  • Inform the School of Psychology Secretariat promptly if a class needs to be cancelled.
  • Arrange a suitable replacement instructor if aware in advance of an upcoming absence.
