About The Position

This is a Regular Part-Time Professor position for the course HSS6501: Cadres de recherche et conception d'études en sciences de la santé interdisciplinaires. The course explores theoretical and empirical perspectives on biological, behavioral, and social processes influencing health, illness, disability, and well-being throughout life. It examines current theories and critically evaluates empirical evidence supporting them in various health domains. The course also discusses how interdisciplinary approaches in research and practice can address complex health issues. The course is delivered in a hybrid format, requiring a minimum of 75% in-person teaching.

Requirements

  • Hold a doctorate in health sciences or a related field, or be currently enrolled in a doctorate in a relevant field and have completed doctoral coursework.
  • Possess university teaching experience or teaching assistant experience, preferably at the graduate level.
  • Demonstrate recent and significant involvement in research or other scholarly activities relevant to the course, evidenced by publications, scholarly communications, participation in funded research projects, scientific communication activities, knowledge mobilization, or other relevant scholarly contributions.
  • Possess demonstrated expertise in theoretical and empirical perspectives on biological, behavioral, and social processes influencing health, illness, disability, and well-being throughout life.
  • Possess concrete experience in applying research frameworks, study design, critical evaluation, and interdisciplinary approaches in conducting health research.

Responsibilities

  • Teach the course HSS6501: Cadres de recherche et conception d'études en sciences de la santé interdisciplinaires.
  • Deliver a minimum of 75% of the course content in person.
  • Examine theoretical and empirical perspectives on biological, behavioral, and social processes influencing health, illness, disability, and well-being.
  • Examine current theories and critically evaluate empirical evidence supporting them in various health domains.
  • Discuss how interdisciplinary approaches in research and practice can be applied to solve complex health problems.
