About The Position

This posting is for a Regular Part-Time Professor position for the course NSG 5780 Interventions thérapeutiques I (Théorie) during the 2026 Fall Semester. The course involves critical evaluation and interpretation of concepts and frameworks related to pharmacotherapy, advanced-level counseling, and complementary therapies for common conditions across the lifespan. It also includes the development, initiation, management, and evaluation of therapeutic care plans that integrate client values, acceptability, therapy goals, analysis of different approaches, and principles of pharmacologic therapy. The course is taught in French, with passive competence in a second language required. Seminars are offered in person on campus. The instructor selected will also be available for orientation on September 2, 2026. The course content is available online on the IIP network. The number of enrollments may vary from one semester to another.

Requirements

Certificat d’infirmière ou infirmier praticien (Nurse Practitioner Certificate)
Maîtrise ou doctorat en sciences infirmières (Master's or Doctorate in Nursing Sciences)
Certificat de compétence en règle du Collège des infirmières et infirmiers de l’Ontario (CNO) (Valid certificate of competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario)
3 à 5 ans de pratique récente comme IP en soins de santé primaires (3 to 5 years of recent practice as a Nurse Practitioner in primary health care)
Must be available to teach the clinical part of the course (apply to both theory and clinical postings).
Must complete all mandatory legislated training as required by provincial law.

Responsibilities

Critical evaluation and interpretation of concepts and frameworks related to pharmacotherapy, advanced-level counseling, and complementary therapies.
Development, initiation, management, and evaluation of therapeutic care plans.
Integration of client values, acceptability, therapy goals, analysis of different approaches, and principles of pharmacologic therapy into care plans.
Teaching the theory component of the course.
Being available for orientation on September 2, 2026.
