About The Position

Valeo is a global tech company focused on reinventing mobility through innovative solutions for greener, safer, and smarter transportation. This role is for an anticipated future hiring need in 2027. As a Project Buyer, you will be responsible for improving site competitiveness through cost reductions in serial materials, working in liaison with Business Group and Group organizations. You will define and implement productivities across technical, re-sourcing, logistics, and VPS materials, manage supplier relationships, implement global materials standards, contribute to budget building, and ensure coverage of logistics protocols.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering or similar and related field.
Minimum of 4 years experience in purchasing, preferably in automotive manufacturing or in another manufacturing environment.

Nice To Haves

SAP experience is preferable
Purchasing experience with electronics or plastics commodities is preferable
Strategic sourcing / purchasing experience is preferable

Responsibilities

Define and implement technical/re-sourcing/logistics/VPS materials productivities and reservoir in line with budget requirements, in collaboration with the segment organization
Support the commodity organization (Segment Leaders) to reach the site negotiation objectives
Drive in front of the MSC material productivity actions and bring suppliers in, in line with budget timing
Monitor supplier relationship wherever assigned the role of Key Account Purchasing (KAP) for a given supplier, when not covered by Group commodity organization
Implement PG/PL worldwide materials standards in the site(s)
Build up the site(s) budget together with the Site Purchasing Manager and in liaison with the Segment Leaders
Implement mitigation action plan at site level
Insure coverage of logistics protocols for all bought out parts
Strictly apply the V5000 supplier integration axis standards (internal referential, certifications, procedures, purchasing tools, information systems)
