About The Position

Champion Home Builders, Inc. is hiring a Production Worker to perform manual labor on manufactured-housing construction projects in an assigned department at its production facility in the Leesville, Louisiana region. The employee works at a rapid pace on the production line and keeps the assigned area neat and clean. The position requires the ability to follow simple instructions, work safely, meet productivity and quality standards, and cooperate with a team. Applicants must be able to pass a 7-panel drug screen. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Requirements

Less than a high school education, up to one month of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; write simple correspondence; and present information effectively in one-on-one and small-group situations.
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers, multiply and divide with 10s and 100s, and accurately read a tape measure.
Ability to use common sense to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions and handle standardized situations with few or no variables.
Ability to pass a 7-panel drug screen.
Ability to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear regularly.
Ability to walk, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl frequently.
Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
Required vision abilities include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
