About The Position

This is a temporary full-time summer position with specified start and end dates Monday, June 1st, 2026 - Friday, September 18th, 2026. Join General Motors, as we proudly produce a variety of components and systems including radiators, condensers, oil coolers, HVAC modules, evaporators and more for GM powertrain vehicles! Our Production Team Members are hardworking and ambitious workers who are responsible for assembly, machining, quality checks, tool changes, and problem solving of manufacturing processes and equipment.

Requirements

• 18+ years old.
• Flexible shift availability.
• Must be able to satisfactorily complete the General Motors hiring process requirements which includes drug testing and a background check.
• Proficiency to listen, read, follow work and safety instructions.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working in auto manufacturing
• Experience working in manufacturing or warehouse environment
• Experience identifying and reporting quality defects
• Experience operating mobile equipment or using specialized tools such as forklifts, pallet jacks, torque guns, hoists, or industrial vehicles

Responsibilities

• Assembly, machining, quality checks, tool changes, and problem solving of manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Prioritize a safe workplace for everyone and understand, support, and execute all work in a safe manner and contribute to a culture that promotes safety as its overriding priority.
• Learn new tasks and adapt to frequent job duty changes as required by business or manpower demands.
• Complete tasks within designated timeframes to meet operational expectations.
• Keeping organized and participating in ongoing inventory control activities including cycle counting, inventory management and analysis.
• Staying precise with tools, machinery, and equipment such as a tugger to load, unload, transfer and move materials within the assembly plant.
• Read, comprehend, and follow written, standardized work instructions and trained procedures.
• Cooperate and contribute to our dynamic team.

• Competitive Pay: $21.00 per hour.
• Shift Premiums: 5% shift premium for 2nd shift and 10% for 3rd shift.
