About The Position

Vantage Elevation is seeking a team-oriented Production Worker (Probationary) for the Controllers Department at GAL Manufacturing in the Bronx, New York. The role performs a variety of interlock, assembly, and foundational motor assembly work across the plant. The worker operates equipment and rotates among production workstations, supporting safety, quality, productivity, and teamwork in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is a full-time, union, in-person position with day shifts generally running from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Overtime is available.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
• Strong understanding of safety and quality standards.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn multiple machines.
• Ability to lift over 50 pounds.
• Ability to walk, stand, kneel, and climb frequently during 8–10-hour shifts.
• Good record-keeping and measurement skills.

Nice To Haves

• One to two years of experience in machine operation or manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Work safely and comply with environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures.
• Identify and report potential hazards for corrective action.
• Perform basic assembly tasks and foundational motor assembly work.
• Rotate among production workstations and participate in cross-training.
• Monitor process parameters to ensure adherence to specifications.
• Perform quality inspections using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and tape measures.
• Recommend preventative maintenance or repairs to maintain equipment reliability.
• Adapt to changing production priorities and meet hourly and daily targets.
• Apply training effectively to daily job functions and maintain accuracy and quality while working efficiently.
• Communicate with team members and supervisors to maintain workflow.
• Support a cohesive team environment and assist others as needed.

Benefits

• Weekly pay at $17.00 per hour; actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and applicable local legislation.
• Overtime available.
