About The Position

Vantage Elevation, LLC is seeking a team-oriented Production Worker (Probationary) for the Hanger Assembly Department at GAL Manufacturing in Bronx, New York. The role involves performing a variety of interlock and assembly jobs throughout the plant, with a focus on building crates. The worker operates equipment and machinery to help meet safety, quality, productivity, and teamwork goals in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is a full-time, union, in-person position with day shifts generally running from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. The hourly rate is $17.00; actual compensation depends on experience, location, and applicable local legislation. Overtime is available.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
• Strong understanding of safety and quality standards.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn multiple machines.
• Ability to lift over 50 pounds.
• Ability to use a nailer and other machinery repeatedly for crate building and production tasks.
• Ability to walk, stand, kneel, and climb frequently during 8–10-hour shifts.
• Good record-keeping and measurement skills.

Nice To Haves

• One to two years of experience in machine operation or manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Work safely and comply with environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures.
• Identify and report potential hazards for corrective action.
• Assemble wooden crates using nail guns according to specifications.
• Lift wood and move consistently throughout the workday.
• Operate hanger assembly machinery and perform machine setups as required.
• Monitor process parameters to ensure work meets specifications.
• Conduct quality inspections using calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and other measuring tools.
• Recommend preventative maintenance or repairs to support equipment reliability.
• Adapt to changes in production priorities and meet hourly and daily targets.
• Communicate with team members and supervisors to maintain workflow.
• Support a cohesive team environment and assist others as needed.
