Fabrication Production - SVI Trucks
About The Position
SVI Trucks is seeking a dependable, driven Production Worker for its Truck Division, which builds custom fire apparatus and other specialized vehicles. This role offers opportunity for growth and involves operating basic machines, deburring, cleaning and maintaining equipment, and inspecting or testing parts according to applicable work instructions. The worker will assist with operating a Calypso Water Jet, loading and unloading a Trumpf Laser, and loading and unloading a Time Saver 22 Series, with the opportunity to learn to operate the first two machines. Forklift certification is required as part of the role. The work is labor intensive and requires standing for eight hours a day.
Requirements
- General mechanical knowledge.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to regularly lift 70–150 pounds.
- Ability to walk and stand for long periods and to bend and twist.
- Ability to contribute in a fast-paced team atmosphere and work as part of a team.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical agility test, and criminal background check.
Responsibilities
- Operate basic machines and perform deburring in an industrial setting.
- Clean and maintain machines and equipment.
- Inspect and test parts, including parts from routing and deburring operations, according to applicable work instructions.
- Help run the Calypso Water Jet and eventually learn to operate it.
- Help load and unload the Trumpf Laser and eventually learn to operate it.
- Load and unload the Time Saver 22 Series.
- Become forklift certified.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
