About The Position

Metko is a third-generation, family-owned manufacturer seeking a full-time Production Associate for their second shift team. This role functions as a Floater/Utility position, offering variety and the chance to develop a broad range of metal-fabrication skills. Instead of staying at one workstation, the associate will support different production areas to ensure customer projects are completed. The company welcomes both experienced manufacturing professionals and individuals who are dependable, mechanically inclined, and eager to learn.

Requirements

• Good mechanical ability and comfort using hand and power tools.

• Basic math, computer, and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to work safely in an active manufacturing environment.
• An interest in reading manufacturing blueprints - or a willingness to learn.

Nice To Haves

• Previous production experience is helpful, particularly experience using hand tools, power tools, measuring equipment, or CNC machinery.

Responsibilities

• Drill, tap, grind, deburr, and finish metal components.
• Operate manufacturing equipment such as CNC punch presses and CNC rolling machines.
• Perform basic assembly work using shop tools and equipment.
• Read work orders and blueprints to produce quality parts.
• Check completed work with calipers, micrometers, and tape measures.
• Complete production and quality documentation.
• Work alongside teammates to meet customer expectations for quality and delivery.
