About The Position

Weather Shield, now a part of the Pella Family of Brands, is seeking dedicated and skilled Production Workers to join our team! The role involves ensuring all parts fit correctly and are suitable for the final product. This is achieved by using hands or machines for greater precision. The ideal candidate will possess good technical knowledge, great manual dexterity, and the ability to read and follow instructions from manuals, drawings, and schematics with precision. The goal is to produce complex outputs by assembling smaller components. The starting pay is $20.00/hr, with pay increases at 90 days and 6 months. The typical schedule for the 1st Shift is Monday - Thursday from 6:00 am - 3:30 pm, with Friday overtime as needed.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an assembler is a plus
• Ability in using tools (e.g. clamps) and machines (e.g. presses)
• Good communication skills (verbal and written)
• Excellent hand-eye coordination
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to read, understand and follow directions and diagrams
• Ability to lift and maneuver 50lbs or more
• Must have excellent hand-eye coordination
• Must be capable of utilizing various hand and power tools

Responsibilities

• Read and comprehend instructions and follow established procedures
• Collect all material and equipment needed to begin the process
• Take precision measurements to ensure perfect fit of components
• Select or modify components according to measurements and specifications
• Align material and put together parts to build more complex units
• Check output to ensure highest quality
• Maintain equipment in good condition
• Keep records of production quantities and time
• Report on issues, malfunction or defective parts
