The Poultry Production Worker is responsible for processing, packaging, inspecting, and handling poultry products in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. The role requires adherence to food safety, quality, animal welfare, and workplace safety standards while meeting production targets.

Requirements

  • Previous food processing or manufacturing experience is an asset.
  • Poultry processing experience is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work in a cold environment (0–10°C).
  • Comfortable handling raw poultry products.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, overtime, and weekends as required.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Frequent lifting, bending, twisting, reaching, and repetitive motions.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform assigned tasks on the production line safely and efficiently.
  • Process, trim, cut, debone, package, and inspect poultry products.
  • Ensure products meet company, customer, and regulatory specifications.
  • Maintain production speed while following quality standards.
  • Follow all food safety, GMP, HACCP, and CFIA requirements.
  • Keep workstations clean and sanitary throughout the shift.
  • Report equipment issues, quality concerns, and safety hazards.
  • Work cooperatively with team members to achieve production goals.
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and supervisor instructions.
  • Assist in other production areas as required.
