About The Position

This entry-level position is for a Production Worker in a foundry/manufacturing environment. The role involves assisting molders, pouring hot aluminum, operating machinery, and maintaining a clean work area. The company emphasizes safety and core values, with additional duties assigned as needed.

Requirements

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Based on department, may be required to operate a forklift, overhead crane, and electric pallet jack.
• Frequently lift/move up to 50 pounds.
• Continuously stand; walk; bend/stoop, use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms above shoulder height; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk; and hear.
• Occasionally climb, balance, kneel, reach with hands and arms at waist level and below the waist, and work in limited space.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
• Understands SQDE Metrics.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience working in a Foundry/Manufacturing Environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Helps Molders with sand flasks, shaking out the finished molds and removing the castings as required.
• Mixes sand for the molders using the molders friend sand cutter.
• Pours hot aluminum into the sand molds.
• Sweeps and cleans work areas as needed.
• Operates bridge crane or forklift to move, load and unload materials and supplies within the department.
• Transports product, parts, and materials by using, forklift, pallet jack, or crane.
• Works supportively with the appropriate team members/departments to meet quotas and goals.
• Observes all safety guidelines and reports safety concerns to management.
• Able to use basic hand tools and read tape measure.
• Maintains good housekeeping and clean work areas in assigned space.
