About The Position

This entry-level Production Worker position is responsible for assisting molders, preparing molds, pouring materials, and maintaining a clean work environment. The role involves operating equipment like bridge cranes and forklifts to move materials, working collaboratively with teams to meet production goals, and adhering to all safety guidelines. The position requires the ability to use basic hand tools, read a tape measure, and maintain good housekeeping practices. Employees are expected to act in accordance with the company's core values, and additional duties may be assigned.

Based on department, may be required to operate a forklift, overhead crane, and electric pallet jack.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Experience working in a Foundry/Manufacturing Environment preferred

Responsibilities

Helps Molders with sand flasks, shaking out the finished molds and removing the castings as required.
Mix sand for the molders using the molders friend sand cutter.
Pours hot aluminum into the sand molds.
Sweeps and cleans work areas as needed.
Operates bridge crane or forklift to move, load and unload materials and supplies within the department.
Transport product, parts, and materials by using, forklift, pallet jack, or crane.
Work supportively with the appropriate team members/departments to meet quotas and goals.
Observe all safety guidelines and report safety concerns to management.
Able to use basic hand tools and read tape measure.
Maintains good housekeeping and clean work areas in assigned space.
