About The Position

ALSCO Uniforms is hiring multiple Production Workers for their industrial laundry facility. This role involves receiving cleaned or soiled textiles, inspecting them for quality, sorting and bundling them for customer delivery or preparing them for the washing process. The positions require consistent, fast-paced physical work, including standing, bending, and lifting up to 25 lbs. Alsco Uniforms is looking for individuals to fill roles such as Sort Table Operator, Sort Deck Operator, and Feeder-Folders.

Requirements

Ability to work in a production area of an industrial laundry facility.
Ability to grasp items from conveyors, belts, or carts.
Ability to sort items by type, size, and color.
Ability to grade textiles according to quality standards.
Ability to identify damaged or stained items.
Ability to assemble and bundle clean garments or linens by hand.
Ability to move finished bundles to assembly areas using carts or conveyor systems.
Ability to keep the work area clean and organized.
Ability to comply with safety and efficiency standards.
Ability to open bags of soiled textiles.
Ability to count items manually or electronically.
Ability to identify damaged or heavily soiled garments.
Ability to operate machinery such as cart dumpers or conveyors.
Ability to record incoming soiled linen data.
Ability to adhere to all safety procedures (including OSHA standards).
Ability to properly use personal protective equipment.
Ability to sort, inspect, and feed clean textiles into machines or fold them by hand.
Ability to maintain accurate sorting.
Ability to meet production speed standards.
Ability to move linen carts, bins, and slings.
Ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

Receiving cleaned textiles from finishing machines, inspecting them for quality, and sorting/bundling them for customer delivery.
Sorting and inspecting soiled textiles (uniforms, linens, towels) arriving from customers.
Preparing soiled items for the washing process, ensuring accuracy and quality control.
Grasping items from conveyors, belts, or carts and sorting them by type, size, and color.
Grading textiles according to quality standards and identifying damaged or stained items.
Assembling and bundling clean garments or linens by hand, following specific packing instructions or packing slips.
Moving finished bundles to assembly areas using carts or conveyor systems.
Keeping the work area clean and organized, and complying with safety and efficiency standards.
Opening bags of soiled textiles and sorting them by type, size, and color.
Counting items manually or electronically before moving them to the washing systems.
Identifying damaged or heavily soiled garments and recording them into the sorting system.
Operating machinery such as cart dumpers or conveyors to move linens to the washing area.
Recording incoming soiled linen data to ensure accurate customer billing and inventory management.
Maintaining a clean work area, adhering to all safety procedures (including OSHA standards), and properly using personal protective equipment.
Sorting, inspecting, and feeding clean textiles (uniforms, linens) into machines or folding them by hand, ensuring quality standards and production goals are met.
Feeding items into automatic ironing or folding machinery or folding items by hand.
Bundling finished products and packing according to client orders.
Maintaining accurate sorting and meeting production speed standards.
Moving linen carts, bins, and slings.
