The Production Worker / Packaging Operator performs both bagging and baler operations, as assigned by Shift Leads. The role operates production machinery according to established safety guidelines, assists other production areas as needed, moves and wraps finished products, helps start and stop pellet mills, reports moisture or material problems, and keeps the workstation clean. Other duties may be assigned. Bagging duties include operating bagging and baler machines, shrink-wrapping machines, forklifts, pallet jacks, and bag sealers; stacking bags on pallets; covering pallets; and placing finished goods in the correct warehouse location. The operator completes production reports, fills pellet sample cups every ton for quality control, and tags pallets with the required quality-control information. The position involves lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for at least seven hours per day. It operates near fast-moving, heavy automated equipment, so clear communication and strict adherence to safety procedures are essential.
