About The Position

This is a unique opportunity to join a brand-new production line as one of it's first employees! You’ll help establish production standards, optimize processes, and conduct recipe testing on newly installed equipment to ensure quality, consistency, and scalability. Our ideal candidate is someone who enjoys hands-on problem solving, process improvement, and the excitement of shaping how a new manufacturing operation runs from day one. Lunds & Byerlys Mitchell Road is currently hiring for a self-directed and outgoing Production Worker II to create a sensational shopping experience for our customers! This position works a full-time schedule and earns a competitive wage of $22.00-$30.00/hr. We operate 24 hours/day and 365 days/year. For this position we are looking for someone with availability around the hours of 7:00am-4:00pm. ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY This is a new role at our facility in Eden Prairie. In this opportunity you will have the chance to take part in testing out new manufacturing operations here in the twin cities.

Requirements

  • Highschool diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to complete required food safety or GMP training
  • one or more years of manufacturing, food production, packaging, or related experience
  • Demonstrated ability to operate production equipment, follow production documents, and perform routine line changeovers or adjustments.
  • Ability to operate machinery, multi-task, interpret and follow precise instructions
  • Comply with USDA, FDA, OSHA, AIB and all other regulatory agencies while complying with good manufacturing practices
  • Ability to read, write, or speak in English or Spanish

Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and monitor assigned processing and packaging equipment according to established procedures, work instructions, and safety requirements.
  • Prepare ingredients, raw materials, packaging supplies, and work areas for scheduled production runs, ensuring readiness and accuracy.
  • Follow recipes, batch sheets, product specifications, and production schedules for soups, dressings, and other food products.
  • Perform and document in-process quality checks, temperature checks, code date verification, lot tracking, and other food safety or quality records.
  • Identify and respond to routine production, quality, sanitation, or equipment issues and escalate concerns to the supervisor or maintenance when needed.
  • Complete line changeovers, minor adjustments, and basic equipment checks to support efficient operations and reduce downtime.
  • Pack, label, stack, palletize, and move finished product in accordance with company standards and standard operating procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work area, including cleaning equipment, utensils, floors, walls, and other surfaces as required.
  • Comply with all GMP, HACCP, food safety, sanitation, quality, and workplace safety requirements.
  • Support team productivity by communicating effectively, assisting with training new employees, and helping meet daily production goals.
