About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER PCS division is currently seeking a Production Welder. Eaton Airdrie is a fully integrated manufacturing plant that has been serving Canadian businesses for over 44 years. The hours for this position are Mon-Thurs 4 pm - 2:30 am This role is responsible for MIG welding and Spot-welding fabrication to assemble enclosures and frames and/or other projects, as required, for Airdrie’s product lines. Requirements

High school diploma.
Basic computer skills.
Knowledge/experience with hand and power tools.
Welding experience.

Mechanical aptitude.
Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision.
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Mark orders as started or complete on DMM.
Fabricate assemblies from component parts.
Inspect welding equipment to ensure it is safe and operable condition, including inventory of supplies and spare parts.
Maintain daily schedule for welding work.
Control the quality of the welds (according to the drawings and quality standards).
Participate in Continuous Improvement projects applied to the area.
