About The Position

The Production Welder operates production equipment and hand tools used in steel fabrication, sets up equipment and raw materials for manufacturing, and maintains a safe, clean workstation. The role may include operating forklifts and other mobile equipment, and using welding equipment or learning established welding procedures. The position requires regular, timely attendance, adherence to safety procedures, and the ability to carry out assigned projects and other duties. The approximate pay range is $20–$22 per hour, with actual pay potentially varying based on experience, skills, and geographic location.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Beginning-level experience in MIG, TIG, and flux-core welding.
Team-oriented, with communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to shifting priorities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to obtain and operate mobile equipment needed to perform essential functions.

Nice To Haves

Prior forklift and operator experience.

Responsibilities

Operate light, medium, and heavy equipment, including forklifts.
Operate hand-operated tools used in steel fabrication.
Use welding equipment or learn welding procedures.
Set up equipment, including jigs, and load raw materials needed for manufacturing.
Clean and maintain the workstation for daily production use.
Maintain regular, timely attendance.
Perform special projects or assignments as directed.
Perform work according to established safety procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
