This role is a part of the production team. The Wave operator work with and supports the inspector/solderer teams and wave assembly line team. In this position, the wave operator is operating the machine, setting it up and completing a basic inspection to ensure the board runs through the machine correctly. The operator is consistently on his/her feet in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to read and follow manufacturing instructions and processes
Team-orientated

Good eye/hand coordination
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work overtime with notice when necessary on weekdays and weekends
Ability to read and speak English
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
Must be at least 16-17 years old (for minors under 18 years of age proof of age required)
Parental permission required if under 18 years of age

Responsibilities

Perform machine set-up for wave machine
Operate wave machine
Perform electrical assembly and sub-assembly processes using hand tools and electronic tools
Perform other machine operations as needed
Rotate to various workstations as required
Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor
Maintain clean and orderly workstations and equipment
Follow prescribed safety regulations
Complete tasks as designated by manufacturing schedules with minimum supervision
Other duties as assigned
