About The Position

Purdys Chocolatier, voted one of Canada's Best Employers, is seeking a Casual General Help - Full Time to join their Production Teams at their Chester Street and Kingsway facility in Vancouver, BC. This role is ideal for individuals with a keen eye for detail, strong communication skills, and a desire to work in a positive team environment. The position is a 6-month contract with the potential for promotion to permanent full-time based on performance and openings. Requirements

• Must be able to work 40 hours per week (Monday-Friday)
• Must be able to work the same shift from Monday to Friday
• Strong spoken and written English communication skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Great attention to detail
• Ability to work in a team
• CSA Certified safety shoes
• Experience working in a fast paced environment
• Comply with SQF policies and procedures

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with Food Manufacturing Machinery is an asset

Responsibilities

• Scan, sort, pick, and prepare orders for shipment
• Pack products safely and accurately to meet quality standards
• Sorting, picking and packaging chocolate into boxes
• Consistently meeting daily production targets
• Maintaining cleanliness of equipment, machines and work stations
• Examining products and recording results for quality control
• Performing other duties as assigned
