About The Position

The Production & Warehouse Operator will be responsible for a variety of duties in a specialty chemicals and nutraceutical ingredients distributor-manufacturer/supply chain management company. This role involves manufacturing, quality control, packaging, labeling, and shipping/receiving tasks. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, able to stand for extended periods, comfortable operating a forklift, and can work both independently and as part of a team.

Requirements

• High School degree required
• Valid Driver’s License & Car Required
• Must be able to safely lift 60 lbs
• Able to perform work while standing for most of the day
• Must be able to work both independently and as part of a team
• Comfortable operating a forklift

Nice To Haves

• Associate’s and/or Trade Degree is a plus
• Forklift Certification preferred
• 1-3 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment preferred

Responsibilities

• Weigh ingredients for production as per instructions on batch record
• Load products onto machines
• Set up and operate manufacturing equipment (blenders, granulators, mill, etc.)
• Stage utensils for manufacturing
• Load products onto trays for drying
• Assist in milling products
• Conduct weekly walk through of facility and perform maintenance of pest control
• Maintain inventory of chemical closet
• Clean equipment before and after use
• Clean manufacturing rooms and warehouse
• Weigh and pack finished products
• Apply labels on packaged product containers
• Follow written standard operating procedures at all stages in manufacturing
• Follow proper hygiene and safety protocols as per written procedures
• Document cleaning on logs for all equipment
• Operate a Forklift
• Pass 25kg cartons through metal detection conveyer
• Prepare trays
• Prepare cartons and drums for packing
• Collect trash on premises, place in collection bin
• Cross-train on tray washing, floor washing and production area sanitation
• Assist unloading shipping containers and loading outbound orders onto trucks
• Pick orders and build outbound pallets of customer orders
• Pick materials for production orders
• Perform checking orders, and other various shipping/receiving functions
• Other duties as assigned
