Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
[X years] of experience in foam manufacturing or a related industry.
Ability to read, understand, and follow written instructions and procedures.
Basic arithmetic skills, including decimals and fractions.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Ensure required raw materials are available as needed and prepare them for usage.
Assist in threading the laminator to facilitate the production process.
Adjust motors to required speeds to achieve optimal production efficiency.
Tuck foam under the platform, turn the windup until the required yardage is achieved, stop the unit, cut foam, and remove rolls repetitively.
Prepare finished good tags for accurate identification.
Seal finished goods in plastic using a hot iron and apply labels when required.
Monitor and ensure correctness of process and product specifications.
Stop production to correct quality problems and communicate with the supervisor regarding non-conforming products.
Keep the work area clean, organized, and operational according to 5S standards.
Environmental aspect and impact awareness.
Read, understand, and comply with plant and company policies and procedures, such as S.O.P., S.E.P., etc., which are all written in English.
Report any inconsistency or nonconformance in the product and participate in the corrective/preventive actions process.
Mentor and support new employees during onboarding.
Perform basic arithmetic, including decimals and fractions, as required in the production process.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains.
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
