Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • [X years] of experience in foam manufacturing or a related industry.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow written instructions and procedures.
  • Basic arithmetic skills, including decimals and fractions.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure required raw materials are available as needed and prepare them for usage.
  • Assist in threading the laminator to facilitate the production process.
  • Adjust motors to required speeds to achieve optimal production efficiency.
  • Tuck foam under the platform, turn the windup until the required yardage is achieved, stop the unit, cut foam, and remove rolls repetitively.
  • Prepare finished good tags for accurate identification.
  • Seal finished goods in plastic using a hot iron and apply labels when required.
  • Monitor and ensure correctness of process and product specifications.
  • Stop production to correct quality problems and communicate with the supervisor regarding non-conforming products.
  • Keep the work area clean, organized, and operational according to 5S standards.
  • Environmental aspect and impact awareness.
  • Read, understand, and comply with plant and company policies and procedures, such as S.O.P., S.E.P., etc., which are all written in English.
  • Report any inconsistency or nonconformance in the product and participate in the corrective/preventive actions process.
  • Mentor and support new employees during onboarding.
  • Perform basic arithmetic, including decimals and fractions, as required in the production process.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
