About The Position

The Production Trainer is responsible for providing comprehensive training for new and existing production employees. The ideal candidate will be passionate about teaching, have a strong understanding of the nonwovens manufacturing processes, and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. This role is crucial for ensuring our team is equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to meet production targets while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, machinery, and equipment.
  • Excellent attendance and performance
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) or similar software.
  • Ability to present information clearly and effectively to diverse groups of learners.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping others learn and succeed.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of employee records.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification as a trainer in any applicable subject is a plus.
  • Prior experience in training, mentoring, or supervisory role is highly preferred.
  • Paylocity or similar LMS experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Training Coordinator by providing technical knowledge for updating of all training materials, including presentations, manuals, checklists, and hands-on exercises, covering all aspects of production roles.
  • Provide additional training to cross-train employees on different machines or processes to enhance flexibility and career growth.
  • Provide one-on-one coaching and mentorship to employees, offering constructive feedback and support to improve their performance.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date training records, including employee certifications, training completion dates, and training assessments. Assign and record employee training.
  • Work with the Training Coordinator and management to assess the effectiveness of training programs and measure employee progress post-training.
  • Stay current with industry best practices, new technologies, and process changes to continuously improve the training curriculum.
  • Collaborate with the Training Coordinator, Production Supervisors, Maintenance, and Quality teams to ensure that on-the-job training is completed effectively and efficiently while ensuring that it aligns with operational goals and company standards.
